To create an application pool using ef_user for Ez4file on IIS 6 running on a Windows 2003 server:

• Click on Start -> Administrative Tools -> Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager to show Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager window

• Right click on Application Pools on tree in left panel, and select New -> Application Pool... to bring up Add New Application Pool dialog

• In the Add New Application Pool dialog:

  Enter Ez4fileAppPool as Application pool ID, select Use existing application pool as template, and select DefaultAppPool from Application pool name dropdown list, then click OK

• Now Ez4fileAppPool is under the Application Pools tree in the left panel of Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager window

• Right click on Ez4fileAppPool, and select Properties on popup menu to show the Ez4fileAppPool Properties window

• On the Identity tab of Ez4fileAppPool Properties window, select Configurable with ef_user as User name

• Click OK to save this setting

• NOTE 1: The ef_user should have following two user rights:

  • Adjust memory quotas for a process

  • Replace a process level token

• NOTE 2: The ef_user must be a member of the IIS_WPG group
