Web Access User Account for IIS

The IIS uses a built-in internet user account, IUSR, for anonymous web access. The access right of this user account is limited. To make the Ez4file work properly, you need to change the user account from IUSR to a user account with the access rights for the folders which you want to be accessed through the Ez4file.

To change the access user account for IIS, follow the procedures described here (based Windows 2000).

  1. Launch the Internet Services Manager:

  2. In the Internet Services Manager, right click on ef, and select Properties in the popup menu to bring up ef Properties dialog:

  3. Select Directory Security tab:

  4. Click on Edit for the Anonymous Access and authentification control to bring up Authentification Method dialog:

  5. Click on Edit for Anonymous Access to show Anonymous User Account dialog, and change the user account.

  6. Save the changes.
