  • root: a root is a virtual directory which uses alias to represent a physical directory (folder) on the server. The root is used by Ez4file to hide the physical directory (folder) on the server from the user.

  • permission: a permission is a directory (folder) associated with the access rights. A permission is created based on a root.

  • user: a user can access certain folders with defined access rights specified with permissions assigned to his user account.

Therefore, to let a user access files through Ez4file, you need to create at least one root and one permission, then sign the permission to the user.
